The Obstacle

When I was young, I have always wanted to be a pilot. This was my every biggest dream, and ambition. We know that flying school is very expensive. I tried to inquire at some flying schools. I emailed Philippine Airlines Learning Center, they have this flying school in Clark, Pampanga. The tuition fee, is 1.9 million Pesos, almost 2 million pesos. My parents have been very supportive of my plans and dreams, but they said it is very expensive, so I didn't hesistate much to nag them to bring me to flying school, insted I took up Business Administration, and plan to take this course to try to get into the flying school dream. I asked the School, what was their requirements and they replied that, they need any 4-year course graduate student. I am very qualified, my height, eye sight, teeth, I can speak english, tagalog, I can swim. Yes, I really want to become a pilot. But now, I think I would like to be a flight attendant, doesn't matter if I can't fly a plane, at least I am on a plane, because I just like to travel. But it would still be a dream come true if I'd be a captain of an airplane. :)

Poverty All Over: Why Is This?

Poverty is a wide spread phenomenon. We see poverty all over the world, but poverty has different meanings from different people. As for me, poverty is a state of life, where in somebody is not capable of supplying his or her basic needs like shelter, clothings and the most importantly, FOOD. In the Philippines, poverty is everywhere. Unlike other well-developed countries, the government of the Philippines lacks the responsibilities to help supply the needs of the people who cannot supply there own, due to the corruption. In the Philippines, I see poverty all over. Beggars, houses that are not well, and people who gets hungry. "Why is this happening?" I ask myself. "Is there a way out of this poverty?" I asked again. Maybe, yes. If we could change the government. I really pity those people who are under poverty. Poor people, who has no jobs at all, that is why they don't get to rise from poverty. I say, the government must act on this state, because if they are, then most probably the word "Poverty" does not exist in here.

My Security: Am I Safe?

For me, safety is important. My life is a gift from God, and so I have the duty to protect my life and my being. I like being secured, by friends, by family and most especially, by myself. Being secured makes me feel that I am someone special in the eyes of a person. I feel secured when people watches over me, especially my family and friends. With friends, I am secured when I am with them. Being secured with friends does not mean that they guard me all the time, but rather, they make sure that I am safe after being with them in a certain occasion in a certain place. Like for example, after a party which a friend invited me to come, my friend would usually take me home after the party, especially when it is late at night. Of course, we want our friends to be safe in going home. My family makes me feel secured when they watch over me, my whereabouts and who I am with. They want to know if I am safe, who would not? As a family, we have our obligation to guard our fellow members. When I am secured, I feel that I can move comfortably with myself. But, I also wanted to have body guards. Makes me feel important in the world! :)

Movies

Movies, movies! Yeah, I really love watching movies. It can be my favorite hobby. Knowing the fact, that movie cinemas are just near our school, I don't get the chance to watch a movie. I have really been planning on watching Transformers 2, Villa Estrella and Ice Age 3. But I don't have the money right now to pay for the movie entrance. I know I could ask from my parents, but I don't want too. I just don't know why :)

I love watching movies with my friends, especially my groupies (barkada). It would be fun watching scary movies with friends, love story with your special someone (I got no one) and of course, comedy movies with friends too. I seldom watch movies with my family, usually my mother together with my aunts. My mother would bring our helpers with us, so have a break on their work.

I have a couple of movies at home, DVD's, and watch them over our DVD player. I am really eyeing to watch New Moon this coming November 2009 and Harry Potter too. Ofcourse with my friends. Right know, I haven't watch Transformers 2, Villa Estrella and Ice Age 3 and I am hoping to watch it on the coming weekend. But still, I have to look for people who could come and join watching the films.

Watching movies are fun, and enjoyable. Because you get to watch the movie on a big screen, together with a bag of pop corn and a Coca-Cola. Ohhlala! So, yould you come and join me? :))

Why is a Mother a Mother?

Why is a Mother a Mother? First of all, Mother, what is a mother? Our mothers are the one sacrificing for us, our fathers are also sacrificing for us and for our mother so that he could supply the basic needs and satisfaction of the family. I am living with my mother for the past 17 years of my existence, I have seen how caring and protective she is, when it comes to her children. Of course, a mother does not want her child to get hurt or to go through the wrong way of life. She always wants the best for her child. A mother gets angry when we do wrong things. Why? Because she does not want us to do things that would mess up our lives. A mother cries when we hurt them, why? Although we don't usually see our mother cry in front of us, but when we hurt them, they cry behind our backs. This is might be because when it comes to their children, they become very sensitive. Being a mother is not an easy job. Coz the day you start your motherhood, till you die, you are still responsible of your child's life. For me, my mother has been very supportive of my plans. She wants us, her children to be happy, and to grow according to what she wants us to be, and of course in a Godly way. She wants us to have the best future she could give. Despite these, a mother only asks one thing from us. Love! Love is what we give, what we should give to them. In spite of their sufferings, sacrifices for us, we should, in return, give them the things they gave us. The care and love, which they endlessly showed us.

For me, my mother was someone who I could look up too. She is not a perfect mother, but she tries to be as perfect as she could. Every time I do wrong things, she would say, "Where did I go wrong in raising you up?" See, in this line, I could say, she was trying to raise me up in the best way she could.

Everytime I get sick, she's always there. Providing me the medications, and care that a child needs from a mother. I know sometimes we misunderstand them, that is because we are not mothers, or we do not know how a mother feels. We should just understand and obey them, not just because they are our mother, but because they know what is best for us. I still believe in the saying, "A Mother knows Best!"

I love my Mother. Do you love yours? :)

Pussycat Dolls Live in Manila

It was late April when I recieved a text message from my high school friend Dharmina Serabani. Knowing that I am a big Pussycat Doll fan, she texted me about the concert that the Pussycat Dolls will be having in Manila. There were no tv advertisments yet, but right away I searched the i-net. I came to know, that they're coming. On June 11, 2009. I was planning to fly back to Zamboanga, since I was in Manila during those days to end my summer vacation. Knowing about the upcoming concert, I changed my mind and decided to stay there until June 11, 2009 to watch the concert. My friend Chelsea, was also in Manila that time. We decided to buy the ticket sometime first week of June. The tickets was sold in all SM Malls in Metro Manila. SM Megamall which was the nearest mall, was not the place were we bought the ticket instead, I went to SM Mall of Asia which was like an hour drive. I met Chelsea at the mall, we bought the ticket to the Pussycat Dolls Concert. We were so excited we were holding the tickets, after that we ate at KFC then, we were showing off our tickets by taking pictures of ourselves holding the tickets and posted it at my friendster account :)

Days past, we knew that some of our friends were also planning to watch the concert. Twinkle Usman flew all the way from Zamboanga just to watch the Dolls performing at the Mall of Asia Concert Grounds. Clea Imlan came on the first week of June, for a late vacation at the same time to watch the concert too. We heard there were many of us who are going to watch the concert, many of us from Zamboanga. Schoolmates and some old schoolmates who already graduated.

I was set to fly back to Zamboanga on June 12, 2009, which was a day after the concert. Before the concert, days before, I stayed together with Clea Imlan already. I left the place I was staying in Ortigas Center, Pasig City and resided at Legaspi Towers, Unit 17B along Roxas Blvd., Pasay City. It would be easier for me to attend the 8pm concert at the Mall of Asia which was like 5-10 minutes drive. Together with Clea Imlan, we stayed there.

The day before the concert, June 10, 2009, Clea and I together with Clea's aunt Miss Kathy and Miss Anne, we went to Mall of Asia to buy Clea's ticket which she hadn't avail yet. I was expecting for the Pussycat Dolls to be at MOA, for a Mall Show since SM Mall of Asia is one of the major sponsors for the concert. Upon arriving at the Mall, I asked the guard, "Sir, is the Pussycat Dolls here?" Then the guard replied, "They're at the music hall." After hearing what the guard said, me and Clea rushed through the Mall to the Music Hall. We arrived there, seeing all the people around it. But, no signs yet of the Pussycat Dolls, but a stage with a VTR Projector showing Clear Shampoo's advertisment. Clear is one of the 3 Major Sponsors of the Doll Domination World Concert Tour, that's why it was named "A Clear Doll Domination: The Pussycat Dolls Live in Manila." MTV was also one of the three major sponsors of the concert. The hosts of MTV, was saying that the Pussycat Dolls were coming so we waited. After the long wait, Nicole Scherzinger appeard. She came from the hotel, Sofitel Luxury Hotel - Philippine Plaza, it was the Pussycat Doll's official residence. I had the chance to take a video of the lead singer of the hottest girl group in the world.

Nicole Scherzinger in Mall of Asia

She was inviting the people to come to the concert. She was in all black attire, so sexy and she had the pinay looks as she was half Filipino. It was just a one-minute appearance. Then she left already. I was so excited to come to the concert. That night I was really getting my stuff ready for the concert. I woke up 9:00am, June 12, 2009. Took a shower and then I went ahead of Clea and the rest. (Excited!) I took the taxi to Mall of Asia, arriving there, I went right away to the concert venue. It was hot that time since it was around lunch time. Twinkle Usman, who was also watching the concert, texted me and asked where I was. I told her I was already at MOA, and she said she's on her way. So we met there. Shannon Kyra my high school classmate was also watching the concert. So we met there, although we weren't able to meet coz she was coming with Chelsea who went around 5pm.

The gates of the concert grounds opened at 4pm, the people started to get in the venue. I went ahead of them to get the best spot I could, and yes I did. Although it was kinda far, it was still clear enough to see the Dolls. Sitting, and waiting for the 8pm concert, I was just sitting in the ground. Clea and her aunts arrived, but we were separted with barriers. It's fine.

The concert started at 8pm with the opening acts of The Philippine All Stars, a rap dance group. It ended around 8:30pm, then after 30 minutes, at 9:00pm, the VTR started to play the Concert Fanfare Introduction. Knowing that they were only four due to Jessica being injured, so it felt odd. It's like a jigsaw puzzle with a missing part of it, but the Dolls still continue to entertain us.

Then the Dolls started to come out, they sang a total of 16 songs. Mixed with their first album PCD. Videos are available online! It was hell fun. People screaming, including me. Waaah. I can just feel the time I was there. It was really unregretable. ^^

It was worth the one month wait. Grrr. ><
The concert ended up at 10:30 pm, so it lasted for like an hour and a half. It was really worth it.
After the concert there was a 10-15minutes fireworks display.

Then, the people started to go home. Enjoyed the concert, walking around the Mall of Asia roads, since the roads were closed. Clea, Shannon, Aunt Anne, Twinkle and I met outside the venue. Clea, Aunt Anne and I went back to the Condo Unit, and rested after the concert. It was already past 12midnight, and we were just still in the Concert mood. Waah.

I feel like I don't wanna let them stop performing. Weee! ^^
The next day, June 12, 2009, I woke up 8am, got ready for my Homecoming to Zamboanga.
Then, 10am I left the condo and went to NAIA Terminal 3 for my Cebu Pacific Flight which was at 2:40pm. Clea and her aunts came with me to get taxi. ^^

I was travelling alone, and then flight was delayed due to air-traffic in Manila.
We left at 3:30pm and arrived Zamboanga at 5:25pm. Then wooaaalaaah ^^

I'M BACK in ZAMBOANGA, after 2 months :D
I was just thinking "It was just last night, when I was screaming, singing, dancing, jumping together with the Pussycat Dolls fans."

Me? A Bookworm?

Do you think a person like me loves to read books? I do read books, but reading books for past time is kinda not my thing, especially pocket books. I read school books to study, I read some magazines and articles too. There are only few books I've read. Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone and Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets. That's the only two pocket books I read. See how I am as a reader? I'm lazy reading books, cause reading books, especially pocket books makes me feel sleepy. Even educational books. Unlike other people, who loves reading books, I usually don't read much as they do like finishing a pocket book. I read, but I end up not reaching the half of the book. See? But yes, I can be a bookworm. I can be a reader, if I am super interested with the story, topic and the like. But I am sure, I am not a die-hard bookworm.
