Poverty All Over: Why Is This?

Poverty is a wide spread phenomenon. We see poverty all over the world, but poverty has different meanings from different people. As for me, poverty is a state of life, where in somebody is not capable of supplying his or her basic needs like shelter, clothings and the most importantly, FOOD. In the Philippines, poverty is everywhere. Unlike other well-developed countries, the government of the Philippines lacks the responsibilities to help supply the needs of the people who cannot supply there own, due to the corruption. In the Philippines, I see poverty all over. Beggars, houses that are not well, and people who gets hungry. "Why is this happening?" I ask myself. "Is there a way out of this poverty?" I asked again. Maybe, yes. If we could change the government. I really pity those people who are under poverty. Poor people, who has no jobs at all, that is why they don't get to rise from poverty. I say, the government must act on this state, because if they are, then most probably the word "Poverty" does not exist in here.

My Security: Am I Safe?

For me, safety is important. My life is a gift from God, and so I have the duty to protect my life and my being. I like being secured, by friends, by family and most especially, by myself. Being secured makes me feel that I am someone special in the eyes of a person. I feel secured when people watches over me, especially my family and friends. With friends, I am secured when I am with them. Being secured with friends does not mean that they guard me all the time, but rather, they make sure that I am safe after being with them in a certain occasion in a certain place. Like for example, after a party which a friend invited me to come, my friend would usually take me home after the party, especially when it is late at night. Of course, we want our friends to be safe in going home. My family makes me feel secured when they watch over me, my whereabouts and who I am with. They want to know if I am safe, who would not? As a family, we have our obligation to guard our fellow members. When I am secured, I feel that I can move comfortably with myself. But, I also wanted to have body guards. Makes me feel important in the world! :)

Movies

Movies, movies! Yeah, I really love watching movies. It can be my favorite hobby. Knowing the fact, that movie cinemas are just near our school, I don't get the chance to watch a movie. I have really been planning on watching Transformers 2, Villa Estrella and Ice Age 3. But I don't have the money right now to pay for the movie entrance. I know I could ask from my parents, but I don't want too. I just don't know why :)

I love watching movies with my friends, especially my groupies (barkada). It would be fun watching scary movies with friends, love story with your special someone (I got no one) and of course, comedy movies with friends too. I seldom watch movies with my family, usually my mother together with my aunts. My mother would bring our helpers with us, so have a break on their work.

I have a couple of movies at home, DVD's, and watch them over our DVD player. I am really eyeing to watch New Moon this coming November 2009 and Harry Potter too. Ofcourse with my friends. Right know, I haven't watch Transformers 2, Villa Estrella and Ice Age 3 and I am hoping to watch it on the coming weekend. But still, I have to look for people who could come and join watching the films.

Watching movies are fun, and enjoyable. Because you get to watch the movie on a big screen, together with a bag of pop corn and a Coca-Cola. Ohhlala! So, yould you come and join me? :))

Why is a Mother a Mother?

Why is a Mother a Mother? First of all, Mother, what is a mother? Our mothers are the one sacrificing for us, our fathers are also sacrificing for us and for our mother so that he could supply the basic needs and satisfaction of the family. I am living with my mother for the past 17 years of my existence, I have seen how caring and protective she is, when it comes to her children. Of course, a mother does not want her child to get hurt or to go through the wrong way of life. She always wants the best for her child. A mother gets angry when we do wrong things. Why? Because she does not want us to do things that would mess up our lives. A mother cries when we hurt them, why? Although we don't usually see our mother cry in front of us, but when we hurt them, they cry behind our backs. This is might be because when it comes to their children, they become very sensitive. Being a mother is not an easy job. Coz the day you start your motherhood, till you die, you are still responsible of your child's life. For me, my mother has been very supportive of my plans. She wants us, her children to be happy, and to grow according to what she wants us to be, and of course in a Godly way. She wants us to have the best future she could give. Despite these, a mother only asks one thing from us. Love! Love is what we give, what we should give to them. In spite of their sufferings, sacrifices for us, we should, in return, give them the things they gave us. The care and love, which they endlessly showed us.

For me, my mother was someone who I could look up too. She is not a perfect mother, but she tries to be as perfect as she could. Every time I do wrong things, she would say, "Where did I go wrong in raising you up?" See, in this line, I could say, she was trying to raise me up in the best way she could.

Everytime I get sick, she's always there. Providing me the medications, and care that a child needs from a mother. I know sometimes we misunderstand them, that is because we are not mothers, or we do not know how a mother feels. We should just understand and obey them, not just because they are our mother, but because they know what is best for us. I still believe in the saying, "A Mother knows Best!"

I love my Mother. Do you love yours? :)
